1. Policy Overview

This Cancellation & Booking Policy governs all reservations made through BoatcruiseLagos.com. By completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms set forth herein.

BoatCruiseLagos reserves the right to amend this policy at any time; the version in effect at the time of booking shall apply.


2. Cancellation Fee

A non-refundable cancellation fee of 40% of the total booking value applies to all cancellations across all services offered by BoatCruiseLagos.com.

This fee covers administrative costs, reserved crew time, and pre-arranged logistics.

Refund Structure

  • Customer-initiated cancellation (any time): 60% refund of total booking value
  • Non-attendance / No-show: 0% — Full forfeiture applies
  • Lateness exceeding 2 hours: 0% — Treated as forfeiture (see Section 5)
  • Service cancelled by BoatCruiseLagos: 100% full refund

Refund Processing:
Eligible refunds (60%) will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after cancellation confirmation.


3. Rescheduling Policy

3.1 Boat & Yacht Reservations

Customers holding a boat or yacht reservation are entitled to one (1) complimentary reschedule per booking, subject to the following conditions:

  • Notice Required: Requests must be submitted in writing (email or platform message) before the original booking date and time
  • Availability: The new date is subject to operational availability and mutual agreement
  • One-Time Privilege: A second reschedule request attracts a 10% rescheduling fee
  • No Extension: Rescheduling does not reset cancellation terms; all original terms remain valid

3.2 Beach House Reservations

Beach house bookings are not eligible for complimentary rescheduling.

Any request for a change of date:

  • Will be assessed case-by-case
  • May incur additional charges

4. Beach House — Full Payment Requirement

Important: Full Payment Required at Booking

All beach house reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • No partial payments
  • No instalment plans
  • No reservation holds

Booking confirmation is only valid upon full payment.

Additional Conditions

  • Cancellation: 40% non-refundable fee applies; remaining 60% refunded within 7–10 business days
  • No Rescheduling: Not eligible for complimentary rescheduling
  • No Partial Refunds: Partial usage does not qualify for proportional refunds

5. Lateness & Forfeiture Policy

Punctuality is essential to maintaining service quality.

Grace Period

Customers are allowed a maximum grace period of two (2) hours from the scheduled start time.

Forfeiture Rule

Arrival beyond the 2-hour window results in full forfeiture of the booking.

  • Applies to all services (boat charters, yacht reservations, beach house bookings)
  • No exceptions, regardless of reason for lateness
  • BoatCruiseLagos reserves the right to reallocate crew, vessels, or accommodations after the grace period

6. How to Submit a Cancellation or Reschedule Request

All requests must be submitted through official channels.
Verbal requests will not be accepted.

  • Email: Submit via the contact page on BoatCruiseLagos.com
  • Platform Messaging: Use your booking dashboard

Required Information

  • Full name
  • Booking reference number
  • Reason for request

Processing Timeline

  • Requests acknowledged within 24 hours (business days only)
  • Effective only upon written confirmation from BoatCruiseLagos

7. Disputes & Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

In the event of a dispute:

  1. Parties agree to attempt resolution via written negotiation
  2. If unresolved within 14 days, the matter proceeds to mediation
  3. Formal legal proceedings may follow if mediation fails
